Colorado Gold Single Barrel Bourbon is distilled using hand selected grains grown in the fertile valleys of Western Colorado.
Our fine single barrel bourbon is then blended with cool water borne at 11,000 feet and filtered through layers of basalt deposited on the mountain by volcanic activity a millenium ago.
It takes our distiller days to produce enough smooth, polished spirits to fill a single barrel. Grains are mashed and fermented under the watchful eye of our master distiller.
After multiple distillations and 6 hours of charcoal filtering our bourbon goes into the barrel much smoother than other bourbons on the market.
Aged for a minimum of two years in new charred American white oak barrels our bourbon ages into a smooth and flavorful bourbon better than any other you will ever experience.
At Colorado Gold Distillery we do NOT blend our barrels. We will make an entire bottling run from ONE barrel - date, number, sign the bottles and set them aside. Each barrel will have it’s own signature run of bourbon. By putting a very clean, smooth spirit in a barrel and letting it age for a minimum of two years each barrel will produce a finished sipping bourbon with a superior taste and color unique only to that single barrel.
Our first production sized run of Colorado Gold Single Barrel Bourbon will be in April of 2010.
